British pop icons Oasis are set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Supersonic” by re-releasing it as a physical single on April 12.

“Supersonic” was released by Oasis as their debut single on April 11, 1994. It appeared on their debut studio album, Definitely Maybe (1994).

The single reached No. 31 on the U.K. Singles Chart, No. 2 on the U.K. Independent Singles Chart, and No. 11 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.

“Supersonic” was written by lead guitarist Noel Gallagher and recorded in one single day at the Pink Museum Studio (now the Motor Museum) in Liverpool, England, in mid-December 1993. It was produced by Oasis and producer Mark Coyle.

Thirty years after it was first released, frontman Liam Gallagher has confirmed that the band will be re-sharing it as a physical release.

“To celebrate 30 years of Supersonic, the original CD single and a limited edition pearl-coloured and numbered 7″ release on April 12th, 2024,” he wrote in a post on Instagram.

Alongside the debut single, the physical copies will feature “Take Me Away,” a track which also appeared as a B-Side to “Supersonic” when it was first released.
